How to log in to NAPSA iCARE: The story begins on 12th June 2025, when NAPSA closed its old online system called eNAPSA. If you have been using eNAPSA before to check your NAPSA account, you may have already noticed that it is no longer working. But don’t worry — NAPSA has replaced it with a new and improved system called iCARE.

The iCARE platform was launched on 16th June 2025 and is now the official way to access your NAPSA information online. You can find it at icare.napsa.co.zm.

But there is one important thing you should know: Your old login details from eNAPSA will not work on iCARE.

Two days into its launch, it’s worth noting that the system is far from being perfect. Occasionally, the system keeps failing to fetch data from the backend, and user interaction is fused with fetch errors. eg, under Member, Manage Account, email verification and beneficiary management are not functional. They are riddled with fetch errors and failure to send OTP for verification. Sometimes the sections are not even responsive.

How to Log In to NAPSA iCARE First Time

If you were already registered on eNAPSA, you don’t need to register again. But you do need to reset your password. Password reset is the only way, and here is why we show you how to log in to NAPSA iCARE. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to the new website: icare.napsa.co.zm
  2. On the login page, click “Forgot Password.”
  3. When asked, enter your NRC number (or Passport number if you are not a Zambian citizen). Do not enter your social security number like before.
  4. Follow the instructions to set a new password.
  5. After that, you can log in and use the system.

This new method, as in the old eNAPSA, is still as safe and makes it easier to access your account without needing to remember the old Social Security number, which we don’t often use in Zambia. And that’s it easy as peasy on how to log in to NAPSA iCARE, the new system that has replaced eNAPSA.

What Has Changed in the New iCARE?

iCARE has a new design and layout that is cleaner and easier to use. Here’s what you will see:

  • Quick Actions (Top of the page): Shortcuts to common services.
  • Profile Actions (Top right): You can view your notifications or update your personal information.
  • Sidebar (Left side): A menu to go to other sections like Membership, Employer Management, and Other Services.
  • Member Account Summary: Shows your total contributions, whether you qualify for benefits, and your KYC (Know Your Customer) status.
  • Employer Account Summary: If you manage an employer account, you will see updates and reports for that company.

iCARE Big Win! Good News for Informal Sector Workers

One exciting new feature I quickly noticed and liked is the support for the informal sector. If you are self-employed or earning from other small jobs, you can now see your contributions from more than one source, not just from your main employer. This is great news for many Zambians who have extra income streams.

iCARE is a big step forward, despite persistent fetch errors and OTP delivery issues, in making NAPSA services easier to access. If you haven’t logged in yet, try it today and see the changes for yourself.
