Competition Signals

Several Digital pay TV services have dropped on board in Zambia. TV services like Muvi TV, Kwese, My TV also known as Strong Zambia, Zuku TV, Top Star, Star Times and Go TV. These could be the influencers of DSTV reducing the subscription price and points into the competitive direction as compared to the monopoly DSTV has enjoyed.

But DSTV platform set them aside and raise the stakes in the competition as their platform stays ahead technologically.

Multi Choice Technology

Multi Choice PVR Access offers Catch Up service for Premium and Compact subscribers. Catch Up give subscribers the ability to catch up on their favourite shows whenever it suits them.

The Catch Up is also extended to Mobile and Tablets for the smartphone platform enabling the subscriber to catch up on the favorite shows while on the move.

Live sport is also available through the SuperSport App. Additionally the DStv Explora also offers the Box Office service where subscribers can rent the latest blockbuster movies either via their Explora or online.

“We recognize that our customers are living in changing economic times and want to reward them for their ongoing loyalty and support by providing them with the best local and international content” said  MultiChoice Zambia Acting Managing Director Ngoza Matakala.
