What is IMEI Number and how to find it

IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a 15- or 17-digit code that uniquely identifies mobile phone sets. Every phone or Mobile Broadband device has a unique 15 digit code, called an IMEI number.
In Zambia when you purchase a phone keep the IMEI immediately. When you lose the mobile set you can report to the Zambia Police that can use it to track your lost device in case someone swaps the SIM card.
